New Year’s Resolutions Inspired by Cats

Happy New Year! Are you making new resolutions for yourself this year? If so, your feline friend will probably just yawn and blink if you tell her about your new goals. That doesn’t mean Fluffy can’t be helpful, however. In fact, kitties can set some great examples! Here, a Glendale, AZ vet lists some great resolutions that are inspired by cats.

Get Lots Of Sleep

It’s probably safe to say that Fluffy will sleep through quite a bit of 2018. Our sleepy feline pals can spend up to 20 hours a day! Make sure you’re getting enough rest.

Be Brave!

Even if your furball is completely pampered, and has never had to hunt anything other than a warm napping spot, she may still think of herself as a predator, and will be particularly fierce as she stalks her kitty toys. Be brave!

Show Your Love

Although we often joke about how our feline overlords are cold and calculating, in truth, kitties are actually very lovable. When Fluffy hops onto your lap, or starts purring as soon as you pick her up, she’s showing her affection. Show your loved ones that you care!

Always Look Your Best

Cats take their beauty regimens very seriously! Fluffy can spend up to a third of her ‘awake’ time grooming herself, and keeping her fur nice and clean. Always put your best foot forward!

Explore New Places

Cats are very mischievous, and love to explore their domains. While we do recommend keeping your cute pet indoors, you can definitely take a cue from Fluffy in this area. Go somewhere new in 2018!

Have Fun

Fluffy is absolutely adorable when she’s feeling frisky. Your kitty may meow, run around, jump, roll over, and/or just basically be super cute when she wants to play. It doesn’t take much to amuse cats, either: a simple catnip mouse or a little ball can provide lots of fun and entertainment for your furball. Take time to have fun this year!

Be Yourself

Cats are quite small, but they have some huge purrsonalities, and are full of charming—and often hilarious—quirks. Fluffy isn’t worried about what you’ll think when she sprawls out in an awkward sleeping position or pounces on a toy mouse. Be yourself!
